Whether people like or hate Apple. For some reason, everyone appears to be of the view that Apple's rumored IWatch project will likely be a wrist watch though can anyone seriously imagine Apple's project not being fiddly to use if it were indeed a wrist watch?
Based on my limited conjecture, wouldn't it be more practical to have the IWatch being worn on one's forearm/wrist via the curved glass it is said to be making use of (roughly envisioning the IWatch between the size of an Iphone and Ipad Mini), with the outer/lower forearm area?
The benefits of an IWatch being worn on one's forearm/wrist could include:
- Being able to carry it around with you without some robber snatching it from your hands like existing Apple products.
- Being able to conceal it beneath your clothing when not in use.
- The potential use of it while on the go or even when working out, when listening to music, speaking to someone or watching tv / movies on the screen. Sure, wrist mounts already exist for Apple products though a case can be made for actually being able to use technology that is conceived to be wearable from the outset.
The only thing I would add personally is to make the IWatch moisture / heat resistant and displaying G-Shock levels of toughness.
